A fan favorite, the Common Olive Tree is both useful and gorgeous.  
 
Late spring to early summer: stunning panicles of fragrant white flowers emerge along the branches. Mid-summer to early fall, black olives emerge. This plant is primarily grown as an ornamental, but it's also valued for its edible qualities.
 
It has dark green evergreen foliage which emerges light green in spring. The glossy narrow leaves remain dark green throughout the winter.
